AmCham Mongolia Publishes a Brief Guide on the U.S.-Mongolia Commercial Relationship
ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Mongolia published “Guide on the U.S.-Mongolia Commercial Relationship” to further advocate for its mission to build and strengthen the U.S-Mongolia commercial relationship. The guide provides background information on the commercial relationship of the U.S. and Mongolia, emerging policy issues, basic information about doing business in the U.S., and various resources for companies interested in doing business in the United States. The guide serves as a resource for general informational rather than a definitive reference.
In 2017, AmCham will mainly focus on four strategic areas, as outlined in its Roadmap for Growth 2017, including facilitating greater access for businesses to competitive financing; encouraging economic diversification through the promotion of renewable energy and agriculture, as well as U.S. franchising; working to develop a well planned, strong, consistent, transparent, and enforceable legal and regulatory environment; and the advocacy and promotion of AmCham members’ success stories to attract foreign investment.
To promote Mongolia as a destination for foreign investment and to further strengthen U.S.-Mongolia commercial and economic partnership, AmCham will organize its fourth annual U.S. Trade Mission to the United States in June, under the leadership of the Honorable Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia, along with H.E. Ts. Munkh-Orgil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
