AmCham Mongolia Welcomes the Honorable Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia
ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – The American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia (AmCham) welcomes Jennifer Galt, the newly sworn-in U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia and looks forward to working with her during her tenure in Ulaanbaatar very soon.
Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, was nominated on May 6, 2015 by President Barack Obama to be the next U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia. On August 5, 2015, the U.S. Senate confirmed her to be the next U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia and she was officially sworn in on September 16, 2015.
According to testimony she gave to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Ambassador Galt’s agenda in Mongolia includes, “Strengthening economic ties and creating opportunities for U.S. businesses.”
