AmCham Trade Mission to the U.S. 2014
The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Mongolia organized its first annual trade mission to the U.S. between June 23-27, 2014. The mission was timed to coincide with the annual Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC) doorknock trip and gave our seven delegates, representing various U.S. and Mongolian companies, the opportunity to engage with numerous key decision-makers in Washington D.C. on issues pertinent to both the regional and U.S-Mongolian commercial relationship. As always our affiliation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce allowed for a most effective agenda and program for our delegation and the Mongolian delegation had the most representatives in attendance at the APCAC meetings.
The purpose of the Trade Mission was twofold: (1) to connect AmCham Mongolia member companies with counterpart American companies to further develop their businesses; and (2) to engage in a dialogue with key decision-makers in Washington D.C. on issues concerning the U.S. commercial engagement in the Asia-Pacific region and Mongolia. We believe that this Trade Mission successfully laid the foundation for further engagement in Washington D.C.in order to continue our efforts to strengthen the U.S.-Mongolian commercial ties.
