The Auto and Machinery Committee, established in 2016, focuses on encouraging the import of new left-hand drive (LHD) cars, addressing the problems with the import of right-hand drive (RHD) cars, and advocating for the introduction of more stringent emission standards for a safer and more environmentally friendly auto industry. The committee has had several engagements with the management of the Ministry of Roads and Transportation Development, presenting the key issues of the committee’s position paper.
