August Monthly Meeting "Mongolia's Resource Dilemma"
AmCham Mongolia is pleased to announce the resumption of our Monthly Meeting series following the summer recess.
We are delighted to begin the new season with a distinguished guest speaker, H.E. Damdinnyam Gongor, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia at our August Monthly Meeting titled "Mongolia's Resource Dilemma".
We aim to address pressing developments in Mongolia’s minerals sector, including—but not limited to—the long-awaited Minerals Law; ongoing uncertainties surrounding exploration and mining licenses; the contentious classification of “strategic deposits”; and concerns regarding potential expropriation of private mining interests under the Sovereign Wealth Fund Law.
In addition, members will get a chance to cast their comments and ask questions at the end of the speaker's presentation.
AmCham's Chairman of the Board, Mr. Randolph Koppa will moderate the Q&A session.
